Grass Seeds is a weekend-long bluegrass workshop for young people (ages 8-20). In addition to giving instruction on the individual instruments in traditional bluegrass (fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, bass and vocals), the 48s will teach jam etiquette, how to play back-up, take a solo break and generally play well with others. Over the weekend, students will form bands and get a chance to play a set on the festival stage. This is always a fun weekend — really looking forward to Grass Seeds 2012.
