Welcome to summer — it’s here, we made it! And that means it’s high season for The High 48s, so there’s a good chance that soon we’ll be playing a show near you. We wanted to highlight a few of our public gigs for the month of July that we are really excited about. For a complete listing of our summer performances check out our calendar page.
On Wednesday, July 9, from 7-8:30pm, we’ll be playing a concert at Wayzata’s Depot Park as part of the Wayzata Summer Concert Series. It’s all happening on the shore of beautiful Lake Minnetonka and the weather forecast looks good…so this is promising to be a downright civilized way to spend a summer evening.
On Saturday and Sunday, July 12-13, the 48s will be playing the Brookings Summer Arts Festival. This is our first time back since 2008, and we’re thrilled to be back! If you are in the neighborhood, here are our set times:
1:00 pm – West Stage
6:00 pm – BandshellSun. July 13th
11:00 am – West Stage
4:00 pm – Bandshell
On Thursday, July 17, we’ll back on the front porch of the Eidem Homestead in Brooklyn Park. This year, we’ll be joined by the Grammy Winners The Okee Dokee Brothers. For those of you haven’t heard the Okee Dokees, check ’em out — they are bona fide rock stars among the kindergarten set (and their drivers). Music starts at 6pm.
On July 30, head on over to Maple Grove for their Town Green Concert Series. The 48s take the stage at 7pm.
