We just kicked off our holiday house concert series last weekend with two shows to packed houses (literally), and now we have a solid month of house concerts ahead of us. We had so much (both the band and the audience) that we just might make this a High 48s holiday tradition going forward.
While most of the house concerts are private, we’re happy to say that we do have a few that will be open to everyone, and we’d love it if you’d join the party.
On Saturday afternoon, December 6, we’ll be playing a holiday “house” concert at That Cooking School in beautiful Lilydale, MN (805 Sibley Memorial Highway). Two sets of bluegrass plus pizza, beer and wine — if that doesn’t sound like fun to you, check your pulse! Doors open at 12pm, music starts at 1pm. To make a reservation, call Alex Niemer at 651-249-7287.
Just down the river a few clicks, we’ll be doing another public holiday house concert over at the Saint Paul Yacht Club December on December 11. Doors at 7pm, music at 7:30pm. There will be a dessert and hors d’oeuvres pot luck, so bring a dish, if you wish. Call Roger Anderson at 651-747-6068 to make a reservation. Click here for a map to help you get to the gig (the SPYC is a little tucked away).
